The Book of Beliefs (The Canon of Culu)
Article 1: The Celtic-Christian Synthesis
Culu Church recognizes the Judeo-Christian tradition as our foundational root, but we embrace the Celtic "Thin Places"—the belief that the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds is porous. We honor the Three Realms: the Sky (the Intellect), the Earth (the Body), and the Sea (the Spirit).
Article 2: The Command of Scholarship
We reject blind dogma. Our "worship of the mind" requires congregants to study the Bible and historical religious texts not as static law, but as living literature. We apply the Critique of Compassion: any interpretation of scripture must result in the maximum benefit for mankind and the promotion of personal serenity.
Article 3: The Liturgy of Sound
In Culu Church, the musician is as vital as the minister. Our services are centered on the Sonic Sacrament. We believe that specific frequencies and harmonies allow the human spirit to resonate with the Divine. Silence is observed only to allow the echoes of music to settle into the heart.
Article 4: The Vow of Natural Peace
Nature is the ultimate mediator. We believe that regular communion with the wild—forests, waters, and mountains—is a mandatory rite for achieving "Culu," the state of total peace and mental success. To harm the Earth unnecessarily is to deface the altar of God.
Article 5: The Doctrine of Secular Separation
To maintain the purity of the spirit, Culu Church strictly adheres to a Non-Political Mandate. Our pulpit shall never be used for the promotion of secular candidates, parties, or legislative agendas. We serve the Eternal, not the Temporal. Our mission is the success and prosperity of our congregants' souls, independent of the state. We also do not accept donations, tithes or compensation of any sort. We believe that indeed "Money is the root of all evil" and while it may be necessary and even desirable for our secular lives, it has no place in our Sanctuary. Costs of operation are covered by our Founder and participants are invited to join us free of any financial obligation. Just bring your spirit and your voice. That said, optional fees may be occasionally encouraged to cover the costs of off-site events or activities.
